RUN TINGS recently caught up with Bam at the LG World Championships in Dallas.

Check the conversation.

Some of the most valuable lessons I've learned about life I learned through Skateboarding. Share with us what you've learned through skating.
I learned that, well... I learned how to fall out of things that's for one. You know, everybody's just like, "How do you like, you know, do that and not break a bone?" and I'm like, "I mean, I have broken some bones before, but with skateboarding, when you're trying to kickflip down ten stairs, you have to learn how to roll out of it or else you're gonna bruise your heel or whatever. I mean, there's probably a lot of people in here right now that can't even jump down ten stairs without a skateboard. You know? They'll instantly break their ankle. You have to learn how to fall and I think that definitely helps me with my Jackass stunts.

Tell us a little bit about the Heartagram and where that came from.
I flew to Finland in May 2000 and I liked this band called HIM so much that they had this cool emblem that was like a heart and a star together that I ended up putting it on a skateboard graphic of mine. It's just caught on so much. Once people started figuring out that it was one of my favorite bands they totally flew to America and got signed by Warner Bros. We kinda both just share the logo... and I just like rockin' it. Like I have tattoos on it. You know? (shows us) -Like five of 'em I think.

Are you continuing to do work with music?
Yeah, I direct music videos. We just did a video with a band called Vains of Jenna from Sweden. I've done ten CKY videos. I've done four HIM videos. One Clutch video. A Bloodhound Gang video and I'm getting ready to do a Cradle of Filth video and maybe this band called Viking Skull from England.

That's quite a resume. -How did you get involved with directing videos?
When I got some money from like the CKY videos I bought a Super 16 video camera, an Arri SR2, it's called and, you know... I just find bands that I like and you know I'll film the video and edit for 'em and just cut them such a good deal because, I already own all the equipment. I own the lighting and I own the editing equipment so it's dirt cheap for them to do a video. I'm not doing it to make money, I'm just doing it to have fun, so if I have a spare two weeks to do a video for one of my good friends bands I'll be more than happy to do it for a cheap price.

What's in the future as you move forward?
Well, I have this show coming up, ten episodes and then after that I have three movies lined up that we're supposed to film, but we don't want to film it in the dead of winter. We'd rather do it in the spring time, so we're gonna wait 'til March to do the movies.

What kind of film projects are they?
One of them is about a heroin addict that was gonna be a pro skateboarder, but he threw it all away, which is a true story about my friend Brandon Novak. Another one is a movie called Adrenaline which is basically a guy who stages heroic moments to get pussy and then he gets caught. (laughs) It's a comedy film. It's so funny. And then, another one's called Killing Christmas, but that's not fully negotiated yet. That's a movie I might do.

We'll definitely look forward to that. Thanks for taking the time to chat with us...
